Manager's Agent Collects Standup Updates from the Team

Daily standups. Fifteen minutes where six people take turns saying "I worked on the thing I said I'd work on, and today I'll keep working on it." Half the team is zoned out. The other half is waiting for their turn so they can zone out.

Let the agents do the status update

The manager's Claude Desktop sends a message to each team member's Claude Code: "What did you work on yesterday and what's the plan for today?" Each developer's agent checks the recent git history, looks at open branches, reviews recent commits, and composes an accurate status update based on what actually happened in the code.

"Yesterday: Finished the payment retry logic
(3 commits on feature/payment-retry). Fixed the
race condition in webhook handling. PR #247 is
ready for review.

Today: Starting on the invoice PDF generation.
Waiting on @backend-api-agent for the billing
endpoint contract."

The manager gets a compiled summary of what everyone's actually doing, sourced from the code itself. No meeting required. The team's 15 minutes per day are given back to actual work.

If the manager spots a blocker or a conflict, they can respond through their agent, and the relevant developer's agent will surface it. Standups become async, accurate, and painless.
